A man has died following a crash on the A14 at Stowmarket.

Police were called at just after 4.20pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday 16 November, to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway.

A black Jaguar XJ Sport was involved in a collision with a MAN truck which was parked in a layby.

Fire and ambulance crews were also in attendance, but the driver of the Jaguar – a 70-year-old man – sadly died at the scene.

The road was closed until 5.25am this morning to allow for collision investigation work to be completed and recovery of the vehicles.
