Man dies after being hit by van in Beccles
A 41 year old driver has been arrested following the crash
A man is being questioned by police after a fatal crash involving a van and a pedestrian in Beccles.
It happened at around 8:50pm last night (November 17) on the eastbound B1062 Bungay Road, between Barsham and Beccles.
A blue VW Transporter was involved in the collision. A man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The VW driver, a 41 year old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
He's being questioned at Great Yarmouth Police Station.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who captured dashcam footage to come forward.
