A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was injured with a shotgun in Brandon last year.

The incident happened outside of an address in the High Street on December 12. A gun was fired and a man was hit in the leg, but only suffered minor injuries.

36 year old James Anderson, of Riverside Way, was charged last Friday (Februrary 3) with attempted murder.

He was already accused of two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of a firearm certificate and possession of an imitation firearm intent to cause fear of violence.

Anderson has been remanded in custody ahead of another apperance at Ipswich Crown Court on May 26.
