Police have charged a man after a serious assault outside a pub in Newmarket.

It happened outside the Horseshoes Pub on Moulton Road on October 28.

A 38 year old man suffered a broken jaw and needed hospital in treatment.

36 year old Scott Humphreys of Anvil Way in Newmarket is accused of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He's been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Ipswich Magistrates Court later today.
