Man charged after cannabis factory found in Ipswich

A man has been charged in connection with a cannabis farm located in Ipswich.

Police conducted a search warrant on a property on Spring Road on Friday following intelligence received.

On entering the property officers located a cannabis grow of around 200 plants.

Officers arrested a 34 year man in connection with the discovery on suspicion of production or being concerned in production of cannabis and he was taken to Martlesham Heath Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Erion Nezaj of Spring Road in Ipswich was charged with production of cannabis between 19 December 2023 and 19 January 2024.

He was remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Saturday 20 Jan and was further remanded for a further court appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on 19 February 2024.
