Two men arrested after Ipswich house fire

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after a large fire at a house in Ipswich on Saturday.

Emergency services were called at approximately 5:05pm on Saturday (March 5) to Nacton Road, near the junction with Ransome Road.

The flames spread to several neighbouring properties. Several people were treated at the scene but nobody required treatment in hopsital.

A number of animals were also removed from the building and brought to safety.

A man in his 40s is being questioned arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis. A man in his 50s is also being questioned on suspicion of the same charge.
