Man arrested after guns, ammunition and explosives found at Suffolk home
A cordon is expected to remain in place at the scene into this weekend
A man's been arrested after guns, ammunition and suspected explosives were found at house in Suffolk.
Police were visiting Birds Croft in Great Livermere, near Bury St Edmunds, at around 1pm yesterday (March 30) as part of a joint operation with Suffolk's Trading Standards.
Officers had to be assisted by Suffolk Fire and Rescue, as well as Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel. The property was later confirmed as safe.
A man in his 50s has been arrested under the Explosive Substances Act 1883 and has been released on bail until April 22.
A cordon is expected to remain in place at the scene into this weekend, as investgations continue.
