Man arrested after armed robbery at Bury St Edmunds betting shop
Staff were threatened with a knife but weren't harmed
A man in his 30s has been arrested after an armed robbery at a betting shop in Bury St Edmunds.
Officers were called to the Ladbrokes on St Olaves Precinct at around 10:20am this morning (September 19).
A man had entered the store and threatened staff with a knife, leaving after he was handed cash.
None of the staff were hurt, but they were left shaken by the incident.
A suspect was later arrested at taken to Bury St Edmunds police station for questioning.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time is being urged to contact Suffolk Police.
