Man arrested after allegations of false imprisonment in Bury St Edmunds

It's alleged the victim was tied up and assaulted last month

A 31 year old man has been arrested and bailed, after an incident of alleged false imprisonment in Bury St Edmunds.

It happened between 7pm and 10pm on August 21 at the Planet Fun Play Park on Southgate Green.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was allegedly tied up with cable ties by a group of people. One of the group, a man, then pushed him into a paddling pool before slapping him several times.

It's believed the group were known to the victim beforehand.

A man was was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault has been bailed until September 12.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
