Motorbike rider dies after fatal crash in Littleport

A man in his 30s has died after a fatal collision in Littleport.

Emergency services were called to Mile End Road, at the junction with Mildenhall Road (A1101) at about 4.15pm yesterday (31 January) with reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike.

The rider of the motorbike, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the black Nissan Qashqai, a 64-year-old woman from Brandon in Suffolk, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She has since been bailed to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on 24 April.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.

They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time with dash cam footage.
