Lowestoft man jailed for over two years for drugs offences
He was caught was cannabis and cocaine during a police raid
A Lowestoft man has been jailed for over two years for selling cocaine and cannabis in the town.
23 year old Taylor Gee, of Long Road, was arrested after a raid at his home last year.
During searches of the property police found cocaine with a street value of £1,400, as well as around £300 worth of cannabis, £1,700 in cash and other items associated with the sale of drugs.
Gee admitted to possession with intent to supply Class A drufs and posession of Class B drugs at Ipswich Crown Court. He was sentenced to 27 months behind bars earlier this week.
Suffolk Constabulary Detective Inspector Matt Bodmer said:
“This was an excellent piece of proactive policing by the East Scorpion Team, resulting in a significant amount of illegal drugs being removed from the supply chain.
“We will continue to act upon intelligence and information provided to us regarding suspected drug-dealing, whether it is gathered from members of the public or neighbourhood policing teams.
“Local communities are vital in helping us to tackle this blight on society and so I would urge anyone with suspicions of drug activity near to where they live to contact their Safer Neighbourhood Team.”
