A man has been jailed for seven years and 10 months for his role in a drug dealing network operating in Bury St Edmunds.

28 year old Zac Patterson of Iverson Road in London was sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday (Februrary 22).

He was initally arrested in Hertfordshire last January.

Patterson admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin from 1 December 2019 to 30 March 2020.

The charges were in connection to the 'Frankie' drugs line in Bury St Edmunds. Two mobile phones were used to market and sell drugs using text messages.

Police found the mobile phones were linked to Patterson.

DC Rob Learney, of Suffolk Police, said: “Patterson paid no regard to the harm and impact he was causing in our communities and his sole motivation was to profit from his illegal activities.

"We hope this sends out a strong message out to people that county line drug-dealing will not be tolerated.”

Patterson's arrest was part of Operation Orochi, a collaboration between Suffolk Constabulary and the Metropolitan Police to tackle drug dealing in the county.
