Ipswich Town bids farewell to "role models" Chambers and Skuse
The pair have racked up a combined 673 appearances for the club
Ipswich Town's manager has thanked Luke Chambers and Cole Skuse for their "fantastic service" to the club.
The duo, who joined ITFC in 2012 and 2013 respectively, are now out of contract at Portman Road and free to move on.
Captain Luke Chambers, 35, made 396 appearances for the club and secured 19 goals during his time there.
Cole Skuse, of the same age, made 277 appearances and scored twice.
ITFC manger Paul Cook told the club's website:
"Chambo and Cole have been exemplary pros for this football club.
"Not only are they very good footballers, they are stand-out men in the way they conduct themselves.
"They have been a pleasure to work with in my short time here and you won’t find better role models for young players coming through.
"We thank them for their fantastic service to Ipswich Town Football Club and wish them every success in whatever they do going forward."
They're both joined by Freddie Sears, James Wilson, Emyr Huws, Tristan Nydam, Alan Judge and Stephen Ward in leaving the club.
Meanwhile, the contracts of Teddy Bishop, Kayden Jackson, Toto Nsiala, Janoi Donacien, Aaron Drinan and Idris El Mizouni have all be extended for at least another year.
