Ipswich Town have suffered a double injury blow, with both Dom Ball and Tyreece John-Jules likely to face significant time out.

Ball's season is likely to be over after he picked up a complicated knee injury. Tyreece is due to be assessed for a major hamstring tear.

Speaking to the ITFC website about Ball, boss Kieran McKenna said: "It was such an innocuous moment that he didn’t really feel it. It was ok after that but then it didn’t feel quite right in the Bracknell game.

"With examination this week, it’s shown a very complicated issue in his meniscus that’s very likely to rule him out for the season so we’re extremely disappointed for him.

"Tyreece has a hamstring injury and is under specialist review at the moment as to whether it needs surgical repair. It’s quite a major tear which is also very disappointing.

"It’s two big losses for the group and two players who I feel were primed to start coming into their own in the next few months.

"We go on as a squad. I can’t fault the players one bit for their efforts in training and in games. We need to be really strong now as a Club and stay really positive in attacking the upcoming games."

Elsewhere, Janoi Donacien was taken off early at home against Cheltenham Town, but early signs suggest its not a serious problem.
