Ipswich Town have signed central defender Richard Keogh from Blackpool on a one year deal.

The 35 year old is the club's seventh addition of the summer and is a graduate of the Ipswich Town Academy.

The Essex-born Republic of Ireland international has previously spent time at Bristol City, Carlisle, Coventry City and Derby County.

He signed for the Tangerines last season, making 30 appearances in the Championship.

Speaking to the ITFC website, Keogh said: “It’s amazing to be back.”

“I started my football journey here and I have so many memories from my early days, so I can’t wait to get back out on the Portman Road pitch in front of the fans.”
