Ipswich Town have added to their options up front with the signing of Everton forward Nathan Broadhead for an undisclosed fee.

The 24 year old netted 10 times in 20 league games on loan at Sunderland last season and is the Blues third recent signing after Massimo Luongo and George Hirst.

He's penned a three and a half year deal at Portman Road, lasting until summer 2026.

Broadhead started at Wrexham as a youth player, before joining Everton at the age of 10. Since turning pro he has enjoyed loan spells at Burton Albion and Wigan, as well as Sunderland.

Speaking to the ITFC website, Broadhead said: “I want to help this team get promoted and score goals in the process.”

“Looking at it from the outside, it’s clear that Kieran McKenna has the team playing some really good football, and that’s something that made me want to come here.

“Under him the team is going places and I will work hard to help.

“I’ve played at Portman Road as an opposition player and it was a hostile place playing for the other team – Sunderland vs Town last season was one of the toughest games of my career so far and was very intense. I’m looking forward to being part of it this time in front of the fans.”
