Ipswich Town match at Rotherham called off at short notice due to flooding
Storm Babet has hit both Suffolk and South Yorkshire hard
Ipswich Town's match at Rotherham last night was called off at short notice, after flooding hit South Yorkshire.
The pitch at the New York Stadium remained playable, but areas outside the stadium became unsafe after a nearby river burst its banks.
Both Suffolk and South Yorkshire were feeling the impact of Storm Babet on Friday night, with widespread flooding in both areas.
The Tractor Boys say information about refunds and a rescheduled game will be released 'in due course'.
