Ipswich Town left back is set to be assessed for an ankle injury ahead of Town's trip to Southampton this evening.

The 23 year old landed awkwardly during Saturday's game at Sheffield Wednesday and had to leave the field at 45 minutes.

Speaking to the Ipswich Town website, boss Kieran McKenna said: "We're waiting for him to be assessed."

"We have a couple of other players having scans so it is very much a case of seeing who is fit to make the journey to Southampton.

"No doubt we will have a strong squad and strong team and we'll prepare as well as we can."

Town head to Saints tonight 3rd in the Championship table, looking for their third consecutive victory.
