Teenager arrested after hoax causes Ipswich school to close

She's been released on bail until May

A teenager's been arrested after a school in Ipswich was forced to close following a suspected hoax.

Police were called to Stoke High School Ormiston Academy, in Maidenhall Approach, around 7:20am on 8th February, following reports of malicious communications being sent to the school.

It's now been confirmed a female teenager's been arrested (on 15th February) in connection with the incident, on suspicion of malicious communications.

She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released on police bail until on 15 May 2024.
