Ipswich man to face trial over M25 crash that killed four people
The motorway was shut for almost half a day after the collision two years ago
An Ipswich man is to face a trial next year after denying causing the deaths of four people in a crash on the M25 two years ago.
The collision, which happened on August 21 2021, led to the motorway being closed for almost 12 hours between junctions 26 and 27 near Waltham Abbey in west Essex.
A lorry, a car and a minibus were all involved.
60 year old Dexter Augutus, 31 year old Abigael Muamba and 59 year old Jennifer Smith were all pronounced dead at the scene.
44 year old Lisa Gardiner later died in hospital.
66 year old Ethan Burdett, of New Cut East in Ipswich, denied four counts of causing death by dangerous driving and to four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving at Chelmsford Crown Court on Wednesday (July 5).
He will go on trial on April 15 next year.
