Fire crews were called to a flat fire in Pearson Road, Ipswich just before 10pm last night (3rd October).

Suffolk Fire and Rescue service say four fire engines attended after they were called at 9.51pm.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen of a third storey flat.

Firefighters tackled the fire for just over an hour.

The East of England ambulance service said they sent two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle, but they were stood down shortly after arriving as no patients required medical attention.
