An expert in teenage mental health from Ipswich says taking part in sport can help build our sense of community and better our mental health.
It comes as England begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia this evening.
Dylan Pomietlo from Teenage Mental Health in Ipswich is encouraging people not just to watch:
"Taking part in sport installs healthy thinking about looking after ourselves.
"I think if someone is taught to enjoy sport for their own enjoyment, you get the natural benefits of being physically healthier. And it's a way without using image which can affect self esteem to push why we should do these sort of sports.
"It does release all these happy hormones and chemicals but it has a social impact too and it teaches many different things."
