Man charged over Class A drug dealing in Ipswich

Police in Suffolk have worked with the Metropolitan Police to arrest and charge a man for a number of Class A drug offences.
Christopher Pindi, aged 20, was stopped and arrested in the Putney area of London, before being brought to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Pindi, of Bensham Grove in Thornton Heath, London, was charged of the possession and concern of supplying Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.
As a result, the man has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates' Court on Friday (February 11th).
The arrest was part of Operation Orochi, an initiative set up by Suffolk Constabulary to tackle county drug lines.
A special Serious Crime Disruption Team had been set up between police in Suffolk and London, with the aim of seriously damaging supply lines for drugs and other crimes including burglary and robbery.
Whilst part of the team apprehend the perpetrator, another section of the team builds intelligence of local drug lines in the local area, building their case to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
Police are also appealing for anyone with relevant information about the potential for other county lines for drug dealing to come forward, so that illegal drugs can be kept off the streets.
