The Lionesses take on Spain from 11 am today
Last updated 21st Aug 2023
This Sunday the Lionesses go down in history as they play in the world cup for the first time.
Many people will be tuning into the game and Ipswich Borough Council is no different.
They have planned to place a large screen in the Cornhill so that everyone can watch the build-up and the game together at no extra cost.
They will also be flying St George’s flags and banners from the Town Hall.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader, says:
“Ipswich Borough Council is thrilled to enable events that bring the community together. What better way for Ipswich to watch the final this Sunday than at no cost with families of all ages on the Cornhill in the town centre on a large screen.”
Food, and, hot and soft drinks stalls will also be available to buy from small independent traders as part of this family-friendly event.
