Cyclist receives head injury after Ipswich collision

A cordon is currently in place in the town centre

Police were called to Upper Brook Street shortly after 5:40 this morning (2 July) to reports of a collision involving a car and a bicycle, near Tacket Street.

A male cyclist sustained head injuries and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Fortunately, the injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Lower Brook Street is currently closed at the junction with Turret lane.

Any witnesses to the collision should contact the Roads Policing Team at Suffolk Constabulary.
