An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in a field in East Suffolk over the weekend.

Police were called to Snape Road in Friston at 8:50am on Saturday, with the man being pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are yet to identify the man and nobody matching his description has been reported missing.

They think the man was digging for potatoes in the field which had recently been harvested.

The man is described as white and believed to have been aged in his 60s. He was of medium build, and with receding blond or grey hair.

He was wearing a blue short-sleeved t-shirt and khaki shorts. A silver bicycle was found nearby which is thought to have belonged to him.
