One of the biggest fireworks displays in East Anglia has been called off after being hit by Storm Babet.

Heveningham Hall in north Suffolk says it's had 'widespread issues' in its organisation of the display as a result of the weather.

In a statement about the event, planned for November 4, organisers wrote "although we understand this is disappointing news, out first priority is keeping guests, volunteers and staff safe".

"Rest assured all ticket holders will be refunded in full in the coming days and will receive an email to this effect shortly.

"We apologise for any inconvenenice caused and thank all out suppliers, partners and the local community."

Mel C was due to headline this year's event in the grounds of the Suffolk mansion house, with support from The Fever Kings and Danny Toeman.
