An historic Suffolk building is set to go under the hammer after spending years boarded up and forgotten.

Haverhill's Grade II listed Corn Exchange could between £150,000 and £200,000 when it goes to auction next month.

It's been listed by Auction House East Anglia with the sale set to take place on November 1st.

The brick-built structure on Withersfield Road was originally contructed in 1889 in a Renaissance Revival style, although its use as an exchange was short lived.

It was revived as a community centre in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, before being taken over the by St Felix Catholic Church.

The church sold the building to a developer in 2006, with the building becoming increasigly neglected since.
