An online fundraiser has been launched for a 'genuine and popular' Hadleigh United footballer, who has been left unable to work.

Jordan Patrick recently suffered a fall and a bleed on the brain, meaning he is currently not able to play.

Organisers at Hadleigh United wrote: "The aim of this fundraiser is to help JP and his young family through these most trying times as we head into winter and the extra costs that entails with the cost of living as it is."

Patrick played for Cambridge United while they were in the National League, with the winger also spending time at Bury Town, Needham Market and Mildenhall Town.

Hadleigh's first team currently play in the Premier Division of the Eastern Counties Football League, the 9th step on the English football pyramid.
