Woman seriously assaulted in Bury St Edmunds
A cordon is in place as police examine the scene
Police are investigating the scene of a serious sexual assault of woman which happened in the early hours of this morning in Bury St Edmunds.
Officers on duty in the town centre were approached just before 3 am and informed of the incident.
The victim, a woman in her 20s was reportedly attacked in an alleyway between King’s Road and the Waitrose car park off Robert Boby Way between midnight and 2:30 am.
A cordon is currently in place at the scene.
Detectives would like to hear from any potential witnesses, anyone who was in the vicinity of the car park.
