Two men arrested in connection with sexual assault in Ipswich

Two arrests have been made in connection with a serious sexual assault that occurred in Ipswich last week.

A woman was seriously sexually assaulted by two men near a towpath close to the skate park at Stoke Bridge in the early hours of Friday morning. The men then left the scene.

The woman, in her 30s, is being supported by specially trained officers.

Two men were arrested yesterday and are currently being held at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Police are still appealing for any potential witnesses, including anyone who was in the vicinity of Stoke Bridge between 12am and 1.30am on Friday morning and noted any suspicious activity.
