Man charged with Ipswich woman's murder

Police have charged a man with murder after the death of a woman in Ipswich on Tuesday.

27 year-old Logan Burnett, of All Saints Road, Ipswich, will appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court later today.

Emergency services were called to Burrell Road shortly after 7.10pm on the 6th of August following reports a woman had been stabbed. The woman, who was 26 years old, died in hospital a short time afterwards.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday afternoon, which concluded the cause of death was fatal injuries from stab wounds inflicted to the victim’s chest.

A police cordon has now been lifted at Burrell Road and a road closure is no longer in place.
