A14 closed due to overturned lorry

The road has been closed since yesterday evening.

The A14 has been closed in both directions due to an incident involving an overturned lorry.

The accident happened between Junction 58 at Seven Hills and Junction 59 on Trimley St. Martin at around 7pm yesterday evening.

The road was closed throughout the night and police are currently working to re-open the road. Investigations are underway and police have confirmed the road will be closed throughout the morning.

National Highways have released the following details of diversion routes:

Road users travelling eastbound are advised to follow the below non-symbol led diversion route.

Exit A14 eastbound at J58 Levington

At junction turn onto A1156 continue to junction with Felixstowe Road

At junction turn onto Felixstowe Road continue to Link Road

At junction with Link Road turn onto Link Road continue on High Road

At roundabout take first exit continue on High Road through Trimley

Continue along High Road High Street High Road West to signalised junction with A154

At junction turn onto A154 continue to roundabout with Grove Road

At roundabout take first exit continue on A154 to J60 Dockspur Roundabout

Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the below non-symbol led diversion route.

At J60 Dockspur Roundabout take second exit onto A154 Candlet Road continue to roundabout with Grove Road

At roundabout take second exit continue on A154 to signalised junction with High Road West

At junction turn onto High Road West continue along High Road West High Street High Road

After Trimley take second exit at roundabout continue on High Road

Continue on High Road to junction with Link Road turn onto Link Road for Levington

At junction with Felixstowe Road turn onto Felixstowe Road continue to A1156

At A1156 turn onto A1156 continue to J58 Levington rejoin A14 westbound
