Police investigate suspected fraud in Kesgrave

A man in his sixties was told he would be given parts for a car

Police in Kesgrave say they are investigating a suspected fraud case.

On Saturday 23rd October, at around 2pm, a man in his sixties was approached by another man, who said his car, the same make as the victim's, had failed its MOT.

The man, in his forties to fifties, then offered parts for the car, in return for £210.

It happened on Main Road, adjacent to

Suffolk Constabulary added: 'The victim has given male the £210 and the suspect said he would return either an hour and a half later or the following day with the parts but never did.

'The suspect is described white with blonde/ginger thinning hair, of a short cut and had a well-groomed beard. He was approximately five foot, eight inches tall, aged in mid-forties to fifties with tattoos on his lower arm.

'Anyone who has knowledge of who the offender was or has experienced a similar situation should contact Woodbridge police, quoting crime number 37/61137/21.'
