Fire crews called out after cell at Suffolk prison set alight
Emergency services were called to HMP Highpoint in Stradishall earlier
Fire crews have been called to a Suffolk prison after a cell was deliberately set alight.
It happened at HMP Highpoint in Stradishall, near Haverhill, at around 7:44am this morning.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue say the incident was dealt with 'swiftly'. Crews from Haverhill, Wickhambrook, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket were in attendance.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Highpoint is a Category C men's prison with capacity for around 1,400 people.
