Felixstowe to host final stage of Tour of Britain 2023

This will mark Suffolk’s first appearance in the Tour since 2017

A Suffolk seaside town will host the final stage of a men's cycling race, for the first time in 6 years.

The fifth day of the Tour of Britain - the UK's longest running race- will move through Mid Suffolk and Babergh before before ending at Felixstowe on Thursday, September 7th.

This will mark Suffolk’s first appearance in the Tour since 2017. While Felixstowe hosted the end of the women's tour end back in 2021.

The full details of this stage- including the start location, route and timetable- is yet to be announced

“It’s great that the Tour of Britain is returning to Suffolk after six years away! Of course, the whole county has been incredible in its support of the Women’s Tour, which has visited Suffolk four times in that time.

"The crowd – and their noise- for that race’s finale in Felixstowe in 2021 was unbelievable. I reckon we’re in for a repeat of that come September".
