An investigation's been launched to determine what caused a fire on an industrial estate in Suffolk.

It happened around 6:30pm yesterday (Sunday September 15) in a Suffolk Highways depot at Broome Industrial Estate on the former Eye airfield off the A140.

When firefighters arrived, they found the building alight, with two roads maintenance vehicles and assorted equipment inside.

Five fire engines and a water carrier from Norfolk Fire and Rescue, and two engines from Suffolk Fire and Rescue – one from Stowmarket and one from Stradbroke – were on the scene.

The fire was extinguished by 10:30am and no one was injured.
