Ipswich Wirches have suffered another potential injury blow, with rider Erik Riss suffering a broken left ankle.

He picked up the break while rising for Landshut in Germany over the weekend.

The 26 year old is due to have surgery on Thursday and his prospects for recovery are not yet known.

Ben Barker and Paul Starke are already out injured for Witches, with rider replacements used during last week's win over Sheffield at Foxhall.

Witches top the Premiership table on 28 points and now have a couple of weeks off to allow for the British Final to take place.
