Large quantity of suspected class A and B drugs recovered from an Ipswich address

A man has been charged in connection with drug offences in Ipswich.

Officers from the West Sentinel team and West Scorpion team carried out a search at an address in Fitzwilliam Close at around 7.50pm on Wednesday 23 June.

Once inside, more than £2,500 in cash and a large quantity of suspected Class A - Cocaine and Class B drugs – Cannabis were recovered from within.

Three people, two men aged 47 and 26, and a 48-year-old woman, were subsequently arrested and were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. She has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The two men were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The 47-year-old man was also released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Samuel Brookes, 26, of Fitzwilliam Close, has subsequently been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
