A local man from Suffolk has found success on the Voice Australia.
25-year-old Charlie Pittman from Holbrook wowed the judges and is now through to the Battle Round with musician Guy Sebastian as his coach.
"It's the most nervous I've ever been!"
Charlie told us he was waiting for hours until he was able to step up onto the stage in front of judges Rita Ora, Jason Derulo, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian.
"Finally you go on stage and one it's televised... You don't get to re-do it if you mess up.
"...It was honestly, so nerve-wracking.
"People said Ohh you look really calm when you're singing. and I think, yeah, maybe I look calm but If you watch the video back, my hand is shaking like crazy."
Getting through
By the end of his song, all the judges except Rita Ora turned around. However, she did peek over her chair to look at Charlie.
Guy and Rita both stood to applaud him along with many members of the audience.
He told us he was only hoping for one to turn around so that he could go through to the next round.
"As soon as like they turned, I break from the song and smile and have a big reaction.
"It was like a genuine like shock when they did turn around.
"It took a while as well... it wasn't until the chorus so I was like ohh God, I really need to sort of pull out the stops. Then when I start getting turns I could then relax into it."
We asked what Guy is like as a mentor: "Even off camera he'll come up to me and chat with me and he's been amazing.
"We'll text and stuff is honestly such a great mentor and I am super happy. I chose him."
Charlie is hoping The Voice will provide him a platform to grow his music career.
