Charity offering free dental treatment to Suffolk residents
They want to help people who couldn't access dental services otherwise
As the cost of living crisis continues, a charity in Suffolk's providing free dental treatment to locals.
Dentaid's bringing volunteer dental professionals to the county this week to offer emergency treatment to those who wouldn't otherwise be able to access it.
The clinics will offer care including fillings and extractions, alongside oral cancer screenings and dental health advice.
The charity says people don’t need appointments and can turn up and wait to be seen.
This is Dentaid, The Dental Charity’s fifth visit to Suffolk and the charity’s volunteers have helped hundreds of people in the county with their dental pain.
Last October, more than 35 people were seen by Dentaid volunteers in Haverhill.
“We are looking forward to returning to Suffolk and helping people in the Haverhill and Sudbury communities out of dental pain,” said Dentaid CEO Andy Evans.
“Previous experience shows us there is a huge demand for our charitable dental services and we expect there to be long queues this time too. We do ask people to remember these are volunteers who are giving up their time to try to help those in greatest need.
"We know there are people in the Suffolk community who are suffering from untreated toothache and thanks to our volunteers and the support of the local councils, Dentaid will help as many people as we can.”
