Man charged after incident in Bury St Edmunds flat

Police say two victims were found with injuries

A man's been charged following an incident at a flat in Bury St Edmunds.

Police were called to Abbeygate Street at around 6am on Saturday 1st January.

Two victims were found, a man and a woman, both with minor injuries - both have since been released from West Suffolk Hospital.

A man was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to hospital, also with minor injuries, before being returned to police for questioning.

24 year-old Harry McMenamin of Cricks Road in West Row has now been charged with two counts of ABH and one count of criminal damage.

Mr McMenamin is due appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court at 10 am on Monday 3rd January.
