Body found in nature reserve in Bury St Edmunds

Police are treating it as unexplained.

The body of a man has been found in a nature reserve in Bury St Edmunds.

Police were called just before 4.40pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday 27th October) to reports of someone discovering a body near Compiegne Way.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance Service were also in attendance.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be a man in his 30s.

His next of kin have been notified, and police are preparing a file for the Coroner.

The death is being treated as unexplained but police say they do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
