Body of man found in Great Cornard

Police are investigating after a man's body was discovered in Great Cornard, near Sudbury.

Officers were called at around 3:10pm yesterday (September 22) by a member of the public, who had made the discovery in undergrowth near the River Stour off Doves House Meadow.

It's believed to be the body of a man in his 40s who was reported missing on Wednesday (September 21).

The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.

The man's next of kin have been informed.
