Blood trail found in Mildenhall

Police are appealing for information after a trail of blood was found in Mildenhall at the weekend.

Officers were called at 8.30am Sunday morning (6 June), to reports of what appeared to be blood on the cash machine at Sainsbury's in Recreation Way.

Further drops of blood were found at other locations, including in the Sainsbury's car park, outside Mildenhall Social Club and also in Brick Kiln Road.

Officers have been making enquiries into the incident, but as yet have not received a complaint from anyone who has been the victim of a crime, or received any information from local medical services of anyone sustaining a significant injury.

An individual who may have been the injured party has now been identified, with officers making efforts to speak with them directly to check on their welfare. However, from the information given to police the injury is not believed to be serious.

Anyone who believes they may have information about this incident is asked to contact the Neighbourhood Response Team at Mildenhall Police Station, quoting reference: CAD 87 of 6 June.
