Bike stolen in Bury St Edmunds

Police are appelaing for witnesses to a theft of a pedal bike in Bury St Edmunds.

It took place at some point between 11pm yesterday (23 March) and 7am this morning (24 March) at a property on Sicklesmere Road.

Overnight a 'Whyte' mountain bike, coloured green, was removed from the garden of the victim. The bike was locked to a secure mount bolted to a solid wall. This was located behind a 6' garden gate. The bike was worth about £750.

Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious behaviour or knows of the whereabouts of the bike should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference 37/14421/21.
