Two charged with attempted murder after man run over in Beccles
He remains in hospital with serious injuries
Two people have been charged with attempted murder after a man was run over in Beccles.
It happened on Saturday 18 November at about 2.45am on London Road.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was attacked by a group of people who emerged from a car.
He was pulled to the floor and stamped on.
The group then returned to the vehicle and drove over the victim’s torso before driving off.
Officers found the victim with serious injuries.
He was taken to the James Paget hospital for treatment where he remains.
Police tell us his condition is currently described as stable.
Following enquiries, police arrested two men the following day (Sunday) and they were taken into custody for questioning.
Nathan Baker, aged 19 and of Quay Street in Halesworth and Daniel Hermon of Market Place in Southwold aged 26 were both charged with attempted murder.
They were remanded in custody.
