Four people arrested in Suffolk in connection with Dagenham murder

Two teenagers and a 20 year old man are being questioned on suspicion of murder

Four people have been arrested in Suffolk in connection with a machete attack which led to the death of a man in London last week.

18 year old Wazabakana Elenda Jordan Kukabu (known as 'Jordan') died of a single stab wound after being attacked outside Dagenham Heathway tube station after 11:30pm on Friday (May 5).

A 15 year old boy from Colchester earlier on suspicion of mmurder and violent disorder.

He has now been joined by two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, and a 20 year old man, who were all arrested in Suffolk.

The group are being held on suspicion of murder and violent disorder.

Another man, who was also arrested in Suffolk, is also being questioned on suspicion of violent disorder as well as assisting an offender.

Detective Chief Inspector James Shirley, from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, said: "My thoughts remain with the young man’s family and friends."

"Dedicated detectives have been working around the clock since this tragic incident as we strive to identify and apprehend those responsible for killing Jordan.

“Our investigation is making significant progress. Local people have provided us with information, which together with forensic enquiries and analysis of CCTV is enabling us to build a picture of what happened on Friday night.

“I am grateful to everyone who has provided information. There will be other people with information that would assist our investigation and I urge them to come forward and share what they know or any relevant footage.

"This can be done anonymously through Crimestoppers should anyone prefer not to speak with police.”
