Man arrested in connection with two assaults in Haverhill

A pregnant woman was punched during one of the incidents

Police have arrested a man in connection with two separate assault in Haverhil last week.

A man was punched in the head at around 1.20pm on Wednesday 3 February at the bus station in Lordscroft Lane.

The following day between 4.50pm and 5.10pm, the same man was pushed against the bus shelter and his partner, who's pregnant, was punched and fell to the floor.

She suffered injuries to her head and face.

The incidents are being treated as linked and all parties are believed to be known to each other.

A 37-year-old man from Haverhill was arrested on Friday 5 February in connection with it and later released on bail until 25 February.
