Appeal after road worker assaulted in Needham Market

Police are looking for witnesses after a road worker was assaulted in Needham Market.

It happened on the High Street at around 2pm on Friday (September 8).

A woman, aged in her 20s, was approached by a black Ford Fiesta, with a male passenger swearing and spitting at her.

He then grabbed her arm, causing her to fall. She suffered minor injuries.

The vehicle was displaying a L plate and the passenger was an older man wearing yellow glasses.

Witnesses, including anyone who captured dashcam footage, are being urged to contact Suffolk Constabulary on 101.
